Although the Otterhound is typically considered a large breed, there is a considerable size range between the different sexes. Males, for example, can weigh up to 115 pounds, while females tend to weigh in around 80 pounds. A dense outer coat and a wooly, water repellent undercoat cover the Otterhound’s rectangular body. They have a large head and low-set, folded ears.
